Since 1982 when I received my first computer, the Timex Sinclair 1000, I have been fascinated technology. From command line programming and clunky "if-then" scenarios that yielded my baseball team's batting average to playing a crude version of Alien Invasion, I was thrilled with the product.

Some time later, 1998 to be exact, I was the marketing manager for Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau and found myself in charge of building a website to promote tourism. I enrolled at the University of Georgia's continuing education program, got certified in HTML and PhotoShop and with the help of an actual programmer, produced an award-winning site.

By the next year I was working independently at RE/MAX for my friend in real estate who asked me to produce a website that people could find. Almost a decade later, my first client is still my friend.
